sloppy-jevs-extension
Open-source Chrome extension that blurs AI-generated prose and ads on any page using separate Jev Noul questions with adjustable cutoffs.
Overview
Sloppy Jev's is an open-source Chrome extension that blurs AI-generated prose and ads with Jev. Pages scan automatically when they load and when content changes, and X feeds scan new posts as they arrive. A single switch turns it off everywhere, cancelling active requests and removing overlays; hovering reveals blurred content.
Classification uses jev-latest through TypeSafe's API with two separate Noul questions, one for AI prose and one for ads, each with a default 50% cutoff adjustable from 0 to 100% in settings; cached feed scores are rechecked against new cutoffs immediately. Normal pages are checked whole first and, if flagged, section by section. Text under 40 characters is skipped and requests carry up to 20,000 characters plus hostname, title and content type. There is no separate server or analytics; the key stays in local extension storage. The README warns about false positives and that private content scanned is sent to TypeSafe.
