osso
Chrome extension that asks Jev, sentence by sentence, whether text is what the reader came for and strikes out the filler.
Overview
Osso is a browser extension that uses Jev to strike out filler on web pages as you read, while leaving the substance: a recipe's life story fades but the recipe stays, and legalese fades while 'renews automatically, no refunds' stays. Nothing is hidden, rewritten or summarised; filler stays visible in grey strikethrough in the author's words, and holding Shift restores everything.
It asks Jev, for every sentence, whether it is what the reader came for, which the README says takes a second or two per article for about a tenth of a cent, with recently read pages free. A slider adjusts strictness without new requests, keep terms force sentences about topics like prices or deadlines to stay, and highlight terms mark relevant passages. It runs on your own TypeSafe key, can read every page or only on click, and documents what is sent in PRIVACY.md. It is available from the Chrome Web Store.
