bes-kelime-jev

Turkish chat toy that always replies with one of five fixed phrases, picked by a Jev Choice, with punctuation set by a score and a yes/no.

Overview

5 Kelime - İsmail Jev is a Turkish chat toy: whatever you type, the bot answers with one of five fixed phrases (aynen, eyvallah, ne alaka, Sıkıntı yok, Yani). Only the punctuation varies. Jev picks the phrase through Vercel AI Gateway.

The author uses it to show why a typed model fits: instead of asking a chat model to please use only five words, the type system guarantees it, because those are the only values the API can return. One call asks three questions in parallel: a Choice for the phrase, a Score from 0 to 2 for energy that sets punctuation intensity, and a boolean for whether the reply should read as a question. Code derives the final punctuation from the two numbers. It is a compact example of the AI SDK's experimental_evaluate, with a live demo.

How it works

  1. User sends a message
  2. Server calls experimental_evaluate via AI Gateway with three questions
  3. Jev returns the phrase, energy and question probability
  4. Code builds punctuation and returns the reply

How curated lists describe it

  • Jev bir sohbet modeli değil, \*\*evaluation\*\* modeli. Serbest metin üretmez; tipli sorulara \`choice\` / \`score\` / \`boolean\` cevapları döner. Bu, "sadece şu 5 kelimeden birini söyle" kısıtını \*prompt'la rica etmek\* yerine \*\*tip sistemiyle garanti altına almayı\*\* mümkün kılıyor: model 5 kelimenin dışına çıkamaz, çünkü API'nin döndürebileceği değerler bunlar.
