jev-gomoku

MoonBit client for Jev with a CLI and a Jev-versus-Jev gomoku match, plus a tool turning timed game logs into GIFs.

Libraryprototype

Overview

jev-playground (jev-gomoku) is a Japanese-language MoonBit project for using Jev. It contains an API client (model listing and System One requests, with JSON conversion for noul, choice and score questions and typed responses), a single-question CLI, a CLI that has Jev play gomoku against itself by judging the board and candidate moves each turn, and a tool that converts game logs with measured milliseconds per move into real-time GIFs.

The CLI demo evaluates all three question types in one request and accepts state as text, JSON or files. An accompanying article on Zenn describes the Jev-versus-Jev match. It requires the MoonBit toolchain and a TypeSafe key passed via environment variable or flag.

How it works

  1. Set TYPESAFEAI_API_KEY and run moon update
  2. List models or ask single questions via the CLI
  3. Run the gomoku CLI for a Jev-vs-Jev match
  4. Convert timed logs to a GIF

Strengths

  • MoonBit client for Jev
  • Real-time GIF replays with measured latency

Caveats

  • Japanese documentation
  • Game demo; no strength measurement

Getting started

`export TYPESAFEAI_API_KEY=...`, `moon update`, then `moon run --target native cmd/jev -- --pretty` or `moon run --target native cmd/gomoku --`.
