jev-cloud-quiz

Japanese quiz demo where Jev guesses which of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud a debranded service name belongs to, showing its probabilities.

DemoprototypeApache-2.0

Overview

Jev Cloud Quiz is a Japanese-language demo: you pick a cloud service feature name with the brand removed, and Jev judges whether it belongs to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, returning a probability for each in one parallel pass. The three bars on screen are drawn directly from the probabilities Jev returns. There are 30 questions, chosen so the three providers' services have similar roles and are hard to tell apart by name alone, so on difficult items Jev's confidence drops and the bars split.

The API key never reaches the browser; it lives only in an AWS Lambda function, placed in Oregon (us-west-2) to minimise round-trip time to Jev, while the page is served from CloudFront's edge. Deployment uses CDK with the key stored as an SSM SecureString parameter, and local development runs a server for the classify API plus a hot-reload front end. It is Apache-2.0 licensed with a live demo.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ChoiceWhich cloud provider does this service feature belong to?AWS · Azure · Google Cloud

How it works

  1. User picks a debranded service name
  2. Lambda sends it to Jev
  3. Jev returns probabilities for the three clouds
  4. Page draws the probabilities as bars

Strengths

  • Key kept server-side in Lambda
  • Shows how confidence drops on ambiguous items
  • Simple, fast demo

Caveats

  • Quiz demo only
  • Japanese-language interface
