jev-cli

Small dependency-free CLI and stdio MCP server for Jev's noul, choice and score judgments over text or JSON.

MCP serverbetaMIT

Overview

jev-cli by tumf is a small command-line tool and stdio MCP server for TypeSafe Jev. You send text or JSON state, ask typed questions, and receive machine-readable noul, choice or score answers. The jev command suits application code that needs a fast classification or judgment instead of prose, and jev-mcp exposes the same judgments to MCP hosts.

Features include all three primitives, multiple questions in one request with run, input from text, JSON, files or stdin, compact JSON output by default, a value-only mode for shell scripts, structured stderr errors and meaningful exit codes. Per the MrJev list, auth set refuses a key passed as an argument to keep it out of shell history. It installs from PyPI with uv tool, giving both commands on PATH, uses the official TypeSafe API by default with TYPESAFE_API_KEY taking precedence over a credential file, and is at version 0.7.0. It is unofficial and MIT licensed.
