jev-mcp (freepik-company)
Go MCP server giving any client typed Jev decisions via OpenRouter or TypeSafe, with validated answers and no paid retries.
Overview
Jev MCP from freepik-company is a small, dependency-light MCP server written in Go that exposes TypeSafe's Jev through five tools. Agents can use it for routing, triage, classification, claim checking and ranking as explicit typed calls with probabilities they can act on or escalate.
It works with an OpenRouter key by default (Jev is listed there as typesafe/jev-latest) or a TypeSafe key, switched by one environment variable. Every provider answer is validated against the question asked; inconsistent or incomplete answers fail the call instead of being patched, and the unchanged provider response including usage cost is returned. The server never retries a paid call, keeps credentials in its environment only, enforces HTTPS, refuses redirects and bounds request size and time. Releases ship binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows plus container images.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Choice | Which of the offered options fits this data? | — |
| Yes / no | Probability that a yes/no statement holds | yes · no |
| Score | Position on a scale you define | — |
How it works
- Install the binary, container or go install and set a provider key
- Register the stdio server in an MCP client
- The agent calls a tool with data and typed questions
- The server validates the answers and returns them with the raw provider response
Strengths
- One paid inference call per tool invocation
- Provider-agnostic via OpenRouter or TypeSafe
- Strict validation and no retries of paid calls
- Signed release binaries and container images
Caveats
- Requires a paid OpenRouter or TypeSafe key
- Licence type not shown in the extracted README

Frequently asked questions
Which providers does it support?
OpenRouter by default, or TypeSafe directly by setting JEV_PROVIDER=typesafe.
What happens if Jev returns an inconsistent answer?
The call fails instead of the answer being fixed up, and paid calls are never retried.
How do I install it?
Download a release binary, pull the ghcr.io container image, or use go install.
