openrouter-jev-mcp
Python decision gateway and stdio MCP server exposing Jev via OpenRouter's alpha Decisions endpoint to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
Overview
openrouter-jev-mcp is an independent Python decision gateway and stdio MCP server that exposes TypeSafe's Jev through OpenRouter's alpha Decisions endpoint using the ~typesafe/jev-latest alias. Coding agents can ask small, bounded questions, such as whether a failing test is most likely a code defect, a stale test or a network timeout, and get typed probabilities back; the caller applies its own action policy, and a judgment does not grant permission to act.
Tools map to Jev primitives: jev_check (Noul), jev_classify (Choice) and a scoring tool, returning probabilities and confidence. It uses an OpenRouter key only, not native TypeSafe keys. The README cites OpenRouter's listing of $0.042 per million input tokens and about 260 ms median latency as provider figures, not guarantees. Supported environment is Linux with Python 3.13; Windows is unsupported.

| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|

| Yes / no | Is this proposition true? | yes · no |

How it works
- Register the MCP server in your coding agent.
- Agent calls jev_check, jev_classify or the score tool.
- Gateway calls OpenRouter's Decisions endpoint.
- Agent applies its own policy to the result.
Strengths
- Works with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor via MCP.
- Uses existing OpenRouter key.
- Clear framing that judgments are advisory.
Caveats
- Alpha OpenRouter endpoint.
- Linux and Python 3.13 only.
