askjev
Unofficial hosted or local Jev MCP server giving agents a quick second opinion: it picks yes/no, scale or choice and returns probabilities.
Overview
askjev by pZacca is an unofficial MCP server for Jev that gives coding agents a quick second opinion. The agent asks a plain question about material it already has; the server works out whether it is a yes/no, a scale or a choice, sends it to Jev and returns calibrated probabilities in one round trip, with no generative model in the loop.
It runs either hosted at jev.zacca.dev/mcp on Cloudflare Workers, which keeps nothing and forwards each call with the key you send in a header, or locally with npx -y askjev over stdio (Node 22+). Setup instructions cover Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex; it is also listed on Smithery and has CI and eval workflows. It is not affiliated with TypeSafe.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Other | Plain question from the agent, mapped by the server to a Noul, Score or Choice | — |
How it works
- Agent calls the askjev tool with a question and material
- Server decides the question type
- Jev answers with probabilities
- Agent uses the answer as a second opinion
Strengths
- Cheaper and faster than a sub-agent, per the README
- Hosted option stores nothing
- CI and eval workflows
Caveats
- Unofficial
- Automatic question-type mapping may misjudge intent
- Needs a TypeSafe key
