jev-acp
Agent Client Protocol agent that exposes Jev Choice, Score and Noul decisions in IDEs with guided input and probability displays.
Overview
jev-acp makes Jev's typed decisions usable from any Agent Client Protocol (ACP) client or IDE, such as JetBrains IDEs, vscode-acp or acp-ui. It is a decision agent rather than a chat model: it evaluates explicit Choice, Score and Noul questions and returns typed answers, probabilities and confidence without an intermediate LLM.
Users pick a task from a selector, such as Choose one (options one per line, then a goal and situation) or Score against a rubric (a reusable question, ordered levels and material to assess), and nothing is evaluated until they reply Run. Reusable templates and guided input avoid any command syntax. It runs with npx over ACP stdio with TYPESAFE_API_KEY passed by the client, on Node 22+, with stable and preview channels.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Choice | Which of these options best fits my goal and situation? | — |
| Score | Where does this material sit on my ordered rubric? | — |
| Yes / no | Is this statement true?(inferred) | yes · no |
How it works
- Configure the ACP client to launch npx -y jev-acp
- Select a task in the client
- Enter options or rubric and material, then Run
- View typed answer, confidence and distribution
Strengths
- Use Jev inside existing IDEs without code
- No intermediate LLM
- Reusable templates for repeated decisions
Caveats
- Pre-stable releases; preview channel may change
- Requires an ACP-compatible client and a TypeSafe key
