typesafe-go
Go utilities for TypeSafe: a grep-like qgrep CLI, a kubectl plugin for asking questions about pod logs, and an SDK.
Overview
This repository collects TypeSafe API utilities written in Go. qgrep is a grep-like CLI that reads text from stdin and asks noul, choice and score questions written inline, such as whether a file contains personal information or whether it is a log or meeting note. kubectl qlog is a kubectl plugin that asks questions about Kubernetes pod logs, for example whether logs contain RBAC errors.
Underneath is a standard-library-only Go SDK that reads the usual TypeSafe environment variables, is safe for concurrent use, and supports custom transports and per-call retry policies. It suits operators who want quick typed judgments in shell and Kubernetes workflows. The qgrep syntax lets you write choices and score levels inline, for example a choice between application log, meeting note or other, which makes ad hoc checks over files quick to try.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Yes / no | Does this file contain personal information? | yes · no |
| Choice | Is this file an application log, meeting note, or other? | application log · meeting note · other |
| Yes / no | Do these logs contain RBAC errors? | yes · no |
How it works
- Pipe text into qgrep or run kubectl qlog on a deployment.
- The tool sends the text and inline questions to System One.
- Answers are printed in the chosen output format.
- Scripts or operators act on them.
Strengths
- Inline question syntax for quick shell use.
- kubectl integration for log triage.
- Concurrency-safe SDK with no dependencies.
Caveats
- Requires a TypeSafe key.
- Log content is sent to the hosted API.
