tweet-911

Chrome extension and Workers API that score X posts and replies for AI writing, solicitation and paraphrase bots using Jev.

Browser extensionbeta

Overview

Tweet 911 is a Chrome extension that labels X posts and replies in real time on three axes: whether they look AI-written, whether they are sexual solicitation or off-platform bait, and whether a reply is a paraphrase bot that only restates its parent. Judgments use the author's handle, display name and bio along with the post text, and the parent tweet for replies.

The extension never calls TypeSafe from the browser. It posts tweets to a Cloudflare Workers-compatible API, running on the self-hosted open-compute platform, which caches results by URL in KV and sends cache misses to Jev. Posts are scored in batches as they approach the viewport, so labels are usually ready before you stop scrolling. The popup lets you blur or hide flagged posts and set separate thresholds for posts and replies.

How it works

  1. The extension extracts posts near the viewport.
  2. It sends them in batches to the worker API.
  3. The worker returns cached scores or asks Jev on a miss.
  4. The extension blurs or hides posts above user thresholds.

Strengths

  • API key stays server-side; the browser never calls TypeSafe.
  • URL-level caching avoids repeat cost.
  • Batch scoring before posts are viewed keeps it feeling real-time.

Caveats

  • Not yet on the Chrome Web Store; installed unpacked.
  • Requires running or trusting the hosted worker.
