elons-job
Chrome extension that uses your Jev key to hide high-confidence sexual and solicitation replies on X behind reversible placeholders.
Overview
Elon的工作 (Elon's job) is a local-first Chrome Manifest V3 extension that only processes replies on X post detail pages. Using the user's own TypeSafe key, it judges each reply and replaces high-confidence sexual, suggestive or porn-solicitation comments with restorable hidden placeholders. Rules are customisable: name, hide conditions, exclusion conditions and sensitivity. A spam-behaviour rule combines the Jev score with an on-page repeated-template signal for emoji spam.
The security design is explicit: only the service worker reads the API key, the content script sends only tweet ID and text, no cookies or history are accessed, cache keys are hashes, and errors such as timeouts, 401, 429 or 5xx fail open. Settings default to a daily cap of 100,000 requests with caching, concurrency and cost protection. Tests use deterministic mocks, and a benchmark over a local corpus reports precision, recall and F1. It is on the Chrome Web Store; documentation is in Chinese with an English README.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Yes / no | Is this reply sexual, suggestive or soliciting porn?(inferred) | yes · no |
| Yes / no | Is this reply emoji spam (combined with template signal)?(inferred) | yes · no |
How it works
- Content script collects replies on a post page
- Service worker sends text to Jev with rule questions
- High-confidence hits are replaced with restorable placeholders
- Errors fail open; results cached by hash
Strengths
- Reversible hiding, not deletion
- Strong privacy boundaries
- Customisable rules and benchmark tooling
Caveats
- Requires your own TypeSafe key and spend
- Rules tuned for Chinese-language content
- Fails open, so some content may slip through
