rubikjev

Gamified Rubik's cube web app where Jev rates your scramble and solves it move by move from the live cube state.

Projectprototype

Overview

rubikjev is a one-page Rubik's cube playground with a meme-heavy tone. You scramble the cube with presets, manual turns or up to 4,900 random turns, then Jev, a System One judgment model, rates your chaos into one of five meme tiers with a 1-5 star difficulty and a roast. Then Jev solves it in an agent loop, and you can bank the XP or gamble it on a slot machine.

The solve loop judges every single move: the 18-move alphabet is declared once and Jev sees only the live cube state (facelets and progress, never the move history) each turn, playing one move per call. The only non-Jev moves come from a Kociemba two-phase solver that Jev can choose to invoke as a tool, tagged separately in the stream. Every solve is verified against an independent reference model before streaming, and an audit tab logs every turn. Engine credentials and URL stay server-side, and a compliance document maps engine agreement obligations to files.

How it works

  1. User scrambles; server computes the real cube state
  2. Jev judges the scramble's tier and difficulty
  3. Jev picks one move per call from the live state, optionally invoking the Kociemba tool
  4. Verify the solve and stream moves to the 3D cube

Strengths

  • Every move audited and verified
  • Credentials kept server-side

Caveats

  • Entertainment demo
  • Solving relies on a classical solver tool when Jev invokes it
  • No licence stated

Frequently asked questions

What does Jev decide?

The scramble's tier and difficulty, and each next move during the solve.

Does Jev solve the cube alone?

It plays moves itself and can invoke a Kociemba solver tool, whose moves are tagged separately.

Is the solve checked?

Yes, each solve is verified against an independent reference model.
