pm-jev

Local-first typed decisions for pm-cli project items (triage, dedupe, ask, gate) via System One models, defaulting to Ollama tev1:4b.

Projectprototype

Overview

pm-jev adds typed, local-first System One decisions to pm-cli project management items using the official TypeSafe JavaScript SDK. Its premise is that project management is context management: supply relevant item state, ask independent typed questions, and keep authorisation and arithmetic in code. The default provider is local Ollama with the tev1:4b model via its /v1/systemone API; Jev is also supported.

Code handles candidate ranking, priority mapping, probability thresholds, retries, deadlines and pm history. Commands include triage, dedupe, ask and gate, with a doctor check and a models listing; default text output rounds probabilities and shows top options, while JSON or --full keeps full precision and every option. It is exported as a library and a pm extension without a standalone executable, and works with Node 22.18+ or Bun. The README describes it as an unpublished v0 development slice.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ChoiceTriage: which priority or category fits this item?(inferred)—
ChoiceDedupe: which existing item, if any, does this duplicate?(inferred)—
Yes / noGate: does this item meet the condition?(inferred)yes · no

How it works

  1. Install the packed extension into a pm project.
  2. Run pm jev triage, dedupe, ask or gate on items.
  3. System One model answers typed questions locally.
  4. Code maps answers to priorities, thresholds and history.

Strengths

  • Local by default with Ollama.
  • Code owns arithmetic and authorisation.
  • Full-precision JSON output.

Caveats

  • Unpublished v0 slice.
  • Requires pm-cli and a decision-capable Ollama model.

Getting started

npm install && npm run build && npm pack, then pm install ./pm-jev-2026.10.5.tgz, ollama pull tev1:4b and pm jev doctor.
