Jeved

SillyTavern extension that asks your own Jev questions about each message and, when a rule matches, injects, rerolls or scripts.

Pluginbeta

Overview

Jeved is a SillyTavern extension that sends chat messages to Jev with questions you write, called sensors. A sensor is a Score with a 2 to 10 step scale, a Choice among 2 to 255 options, or a Noul statement answered as a percentage chance of being true, and each can read a configurable number of user and assistant messages plus context. Rules read sensor answers and act: add one instruction to the prompt, reroll the reply, change a list, or run an STscript. When no rule matches, nothing is added.

Example uses include pacing (ask for an event when the story stays calm), steering based on your message, rerolling replies that speak for your character or break your rules, correcting narrator tone drift, tracking inventories, quest logs or meters in lists, and automating background or image changes. Sensors are only measured when an enabled rule uses them unless you choose otherwise. The workspace has tabs for rules, sensors, lists, activity and settings, and a built-in Director preset documents example rules. It needs SillyTavern 1.18.0 or later and a key for a supported host.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
Yes / noDid this reply speak for the user's character? (example sensor)(inferred)—
ScoreHow calm is the story right now? (pacing sensor)(inferred)—
ChoiceUser-defined Choice sensor over 2-255 options—

How it works

  1. Define sensors (Noul, Choice, Score) and rules
  2. After messages, measure sensors used by enabled rules
  3. Rules match answers to actions
  4. Inject an instruction, reroll, update a list or run a script

Strengths

  • Fully user-defined questions and rules
  • Does nothing when no rule matches
  • Supports state tracking via lists

Caveats

  • Requires a SillyTavern setup and an API key
  • Rule design is up to the user

Getting started

In SillyTavern 1.18.0+, install from https://github.com/mossyfield/ST-jeved, add a host key, press Test and enable.
