Jev-in-the-Loop

Codex browser plugin where Codex prepares inputs and Jev quickly picks each next action in local Chrome.

ProjectbetaMIT

Overview

Jev-in-the-Loop explores how Jev can speed up tasks that depend on LLM decision-making, one module at a time. Its first module is a Codex plugin for fast browser interaction: Codex understands the goal and prepares inputs, Jev selects the next action, and the plugin executes it in local Chrome, so searches, clicks, typing and navigation flow continuously. Only a Codex setup and a TypeSafe key are needed, with no extra text-generation service.

Demo videos show booking a Beijing hotel up to the booking form, stopping there for the user to confirm, and searching Bilibili for a course video. Documentation is in English and Chinese, and more modules are planned.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ChoiceWhich browser action should be taken next?—

How it works

  1. Describe a task to Codex
  2. Codex prepares the goal and inputs
  3. Jev picks each next browser action
  4. Plugin executes in local Chrome; stop for user confirmation at sensitive steps

Strengths

  • Continuous browser flow without returning to the main model each step
  • No additional text model required

Caveats

  • Only the browser module exists so far
  • Acts in a local Chrome session

Getting started
