system_one_sdk
Provider-neutral Elixir SDK for System One typed Noul, Choice and Score calls, with hosted TypeSafe integration by default.
Overview
System One SDK Poncho is an Elixir/BEAM repository holding four independently publishable Mix packages. system_one_contracts is a small provider-neutral System One v1 wire and inference contract. system_one_sdk is the main API with a default hosted TypeSafe integration through the typesafe_api_sdk Hex package. system_one_bumblebee (native BEAM/Nx model execution) and system_one_server (an HTTP service exposing System One v1) are listed as upcoming.
Most Elixir application developers only need system_one_sdk. Hosted use does not require Bumblebee, Nx, EXLA, Plug or Bandit, so the dependency footprint stays small, while runtime implementers can depend on the contracts package alone. The repository includes a fast QC script that runs formatting, compilation and offline tests per package, without live calls or model downloads.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Other | Application-defined Noul, Choice and Score questions sent to a System One provider(inferred) | — |
How it works
- Add {:system_one_sdk, "~> 0.6"} to a Mix project.
- Build a System One request with state and typed questions.
- The SDK sends it to the hosted TypeSafe provider by default.
- Typed answers return to the application for its own logic.
Strengths
- Provider-neutral contracts allow other runtimes later.
- Small dependency set for hosted use.
- Packages are versioned and published independently.
Caveats
- Native inference and server packages are still upcoming.
- Hosted use depends on TypeSafe's API and key.

Frequently asked questions
Which package do I need?
Most applications need only system_one_sdk; server implementers can use system_one_contracts.
Does it need a TypeSafe key?
The default integration is hosted TypeSafe, so yes for hosted use.
Can it run models locally?
Native BEAM/Nx execution is planned in system_one_bumblebee but marked upcoming.
