PZ_Optimization
Project Zomboid performance patches whose benchmark harness computes numbers in code and, per a list, asks Jev only for the verdict.
Overview
PZ_Optimization is a set of drop-in Java .class files that shadow 41 classes of Project Zomboid Build 42 to remove stalls in the chunk streamer, renderer, weather and loading path. The game jar is never modified, each change has an in-game kill switch, overrides refuse to run on other jar revisions, and every number comes from a hands-off benchmark harness with a public Grafana dashboard.
The Jev angle comes from a directory listing, not the fetched README: the harness computes the arithmetic and noise floors in code and asks Jev only for a verdict on what the numbers mean, for example whether a change is a real improvement. That is a common pattern, keeping deterministic maths in code and using a decision model for the judgment. The README excerpt itself does not mention Jev.
What the decision model decides

How it works
- Run the benchmark route hands-off
- Compute frame-time statistics and noise floors in code
- Ask Jev for a verdict on what the numbers mean
- Record results in docs/results.md and the dashboard
Strengths
- Deterministic arithmetic stays in code
- Benchmark runs are logged and public
Caveats
- Jev use is described only in a list summary, not the fetched README
- No licence file per the list
- Measured in single player only

How curated lists describe it
Performance work on a game, notable here for the harness: the arithmetic and the noise floors are computed in code, and Jev is asked only for the verdict on what the numbers mean. No licence file.

Frequently asked questions
Where does Jev fit?
Per a list summary, the benchmark harness asks Jev only for the verdict on numbers computed in code.
Does the mod modify the game jar?
No; it ships .class files that shadow game classes and refuse to load on other revisions.
Is it licensed?
The list notes there is no licence file.
