jev-playlist-classify

Web app that sorts large playlists by each song's main singing language using Jev, in batches of 100 with four in parallel.

Projectprototype

Overview

SONGTYPE (repository jev-playlist-classify) is a web app, documented in Chinese, that sorts playlists by the main language a song is sung in, using TypeSafe's jev-latest model. You paste lines in 'title - artist', 'artist - title' or title-only format, and the server splits the list into batches of 100 songs, sends up to four concurrent requests, and merges results in the original order.

Output goes to eight lists: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, other languages, and needs confirmation, each copyable as text. There is no fixed limit on playlist size beyond memory, time and API rate limits. The API key stays in page memory only and is forwarded through a same-origin server; the README stresses HTTPS in production and revoking leaked keys. It is built with Vite, React, Tailwind, Hono and the TypeSafe JavaScript SDK.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ChoiceWhat is the main singing language of this song?Chinese · English · Japanese · Korean · Spanish · French · Other · Needs confirmation

How it works

  1. Paste a playlist and pick the line format
  2. The server batches songs 100 at a time, four in parallel
  3. Jev picks a language per song
  4. Results appear in eight copyable lists

Strengths

  • Handles large playlists
  • Explicit needs-confirmation bucket
  • Key never stored in localStorage

Caveats

  • Requires a TypeSafe key
  • Language is inferred from title and artist only

Getting started

npm install && npm run dev, then enter your TypeSafe key in the page.
