jev-lens.nvim

Neovim popup showing jev-lens verdicts after Claude Code edits: whether to look, which files, and debris to strip.

Projectbeta

Overview

jev-lens.nvim draws the verdicts produced by jev-lens, a Claude Code plugin that judges edits. After Claude Code finishes editing, a popup tells you whether you need to look at all (with a probability), which files changed behaviour, which contain leftover debris such as comments and logs, and which can be skipped. The Neovim plugin itself makes no API calls and needs no key.

Keys open a file with lazydiff, strip flagged debris after a confirmation that checks the buffer is saved and every line still matches, mark the verdict reviewed to move the baseline, jump to the Claude session that made the change, re-judge, or close. With jev-gates 0.4 or later, unverified changes (behaviour-altering edits that nothing ran or tested afterward) are listed under the file rows.

How it works

  1. jev-lens judges Claude Code's edits and writes a verdict
  2. Neovim plugin watches and shows a popup
  3. Open, strip debris, mark reviewed or jump to the session
  4. Show unverified changes from jev-gates

Strengths

  • Review triage without opening every diff
  • Careful debris stripping
  • No network calls from Neovim

Caveats

  • Requires the jev-lens Claude Code plugin
