Jev for Chrome

Chrome extension port of Jev Ultrafast that drives your current tab, with Jev picking the operation and element each step.

Browser extensionbeta

Overview

Jev for Chrome is a Manifest V3 extension that drives the tab you are looking at with Jev, which picks the next click, keystroke or dropdown value in a few hundred milliseconds. It ports browser-use/jev-ultrafast with the same observation format, questions and execution rules, and is a community project not affiliated with TypeSafe or Browser Use.

Running in your own Chrome profile means your cookies and logins are available and sites that block datacenter headless browsers open normally. Numbered badges show which elements the model can see, a status bar shows each decision and latency, a Step button runs one decision at a time, and traces can be copied. A Jev Choice picks the operation and element in one request, two Noul checks (goal reached, stuck) veto a premature DONE or BLOCKED, and a small text model is used only to write typed values. It works through OpenRouter, TypeSafe or Cloudflare and includes a 17-task headless Chromium test suite with recorded traces.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ChoiceWhich operation and DOM element should be used next?—
Yes / noHas the goal been reached?—
Yes / noIs the agent stuck?—

How it works

  1. Type a goal in the popup
  2. Observe the tab and number visible controls
  3. Jev picks operation and element; Noul checks veto premature DONE or BLOCKED
  4. Execute, using a small text model for typed values, and repeat

Strengths

  • Uses your real browser session
  • Step-by-step debugging and trace export
  • No Python or Playwright needed

Caveats

  • Unofficial community port
  • Acting in a logged-in profile carries risk

How curated lists describe it

  • Browser automation: unofficial Chrome extension port of Jev Ultrafast where a Jev `Choice` picks the operation and DOM element each step and two `Noul` checks (goal reached, stuck) veto a premature DONE or BLOCKED, with a small text model used only when text must be typed.

Which providers work?

OpenRouter, TypeSafe or Cloudflare.
