jev-dotnet

Unofficial dependency-free .NET client for Jev with typed Choice, Score and Noul questions and confidence helpers.

Librarybeta

Overview

CMaintz.Jev.Client is a small .NET 8 client for TypeSafe's Jev, built on System.Net.Http and System.Text.Json with no runtime dependencies. You send a state object and a dictionary of typed questions (Choice with described options, Score with ordered levels, Noul yes/no) and get typed answers with confidence that code can threshold, for example routing a ticket only when IsConfident(0.7) holds.

The author's stated idea is to run Jev on everything and escalate only low-confidence cases to a person or larger model. It is unofficial, not endorsed by TypeSafe, and not yet on NuGet, so you reference it from source or build a local package. The client reads TYPESAFE_API_KEY from the environment.

How it works

  1. Create JevClient.FromEnvironment()
  2. Build typed questions and a state object
  3. Call SystemOneAsync
  4. Act when answers pass a confidence check; escalate otherwise

Strengths

  • No runtime dependencies
  • Typed answer objects with confidence helpers
  • Targets modern .NET

Caveats

  • Unofficial and not on NuGet yet
  • Requires building from source

Getting started
