HR tool pile

Interactive page where HR tool logos rise out of a physics pile as Jev judges which fit a typed HR problem.

Overview

HR tool pile is a web demo on dormytech.com. The page holds a physics simulation of about 50 HR software logos piled at the bottom of the screen. As you type an HR problem in plain words, the tools that fit the problem rise out of the pile, updating as you type; clearing the box lets them fall back.

It is a playful example of an adaptive interface driven by per-item relevance judgments: each tool is presumably checked against the typed problem and the probability controls whether it lifts. No source code or README was available, so the exact questions and thresholds are not documented.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
Yes / noDoes this HR tool fit the problem the user described?(inferred)yes · no

How it works

  1. User types an HR problem
  2. Each of ~50 tools is judged for fit against the text
  3. Matching logos rise out of the pile; others stay down
  4. Clearing the box resets the pile

Strengths

  • Live, as-you-type relevance feedback
  • Plain-language input instead of filters or categories

Caveats

  • Hosted demo only; implementation not documented
  • Tool catalogue is fixed to about 50 logos
