Overview

This is a Windows-focused Codex skill, documented in Chinese, for safely deploying the user-level save-token-jev hooks. In that setup, a PreCompact hook calls Jev before manual or automatic compaction to select which tool records from the current session are worth keeping; Codex then runs its native compaction; and a SessionStart(compact) hook adds the selected content back into later requests. The skill also checks for stale sidecar files so a failed preparation does not restore old content from a previous session.

Installing the skill via npx or git clone does not itself install hooks, set keys, trust hooks or run /compact; after restarting Codex you invoke the skill to configure everything. It requires Windows 10 or 11, Codex desktop or CLI, Node 20+, Git and an OpenRouter key.

How it works

  1. Install the skill with npx or git clone and restart Codex.
  2. Invoke the skill to configure save-token-jev hooks.
