one-system
Go gateway that puts local and hosted System One models behind one TypeSafe API, with a local Laya router choosing Laya or Jev.
Overview
One System sits between an application and compatible TypeSafe System One servers so you can use local and hosted decision models through one API. You send data and questions once and either choose a backend directly or let a model help decide where the request should run. It supports Choice, Noul and Score, keeping one client interface while trying different models or hosting arrangements, and can run fully locally.
The included Privacy Demo configuration uses local Laya to choose between local Laya and hosted Jev; the README notes its current rule classifies the task's domain, not whether the input contains private data. The gateway installs as a prebuilt binary with checksum verification and no sudo, with Laya running as a separate service. Hosted Jev calls need a TypeSafe key and may incur charges. It suits teams wanting to keep some decisions on their own hardware.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Choice | Which backend should handle this request (local Laya or hosted Jev)? | laya · jev |
| Other | Application Choice, Noul and Score questions forwarded to the chosen backend | — |
How it works
- Start local Laya and the gateway.
- Send a /v1/systemone request with the gateway key.
- Router classifies the task domain and picks a backend.
- Forward the questions and return typed answers.
Strengths
- One client interface across local and hosted models.
- Can run with no hosted backend at all.
- Careful installer that does not use sudo.
Caveats
- Privacy Demo routes by domain, not by detecting private data.
- Hosted Jev calls incur charges.

Frequently asked questions
What does the router decide?
Whether a request goes to local Laya or hosted Jev, based on a domain classification in the demo config.
Does it detect private information?
No, the README says the demo classifies domain, not privacy.
Can I run without TypeSafe?
Yes, choose a configuration with no hosted backend.
