jev-system-one-model-primitives

Sample Cloudflare Worker app with three playful demos, one per Jev primitive: Noul (is it a sandwich?), Score and Choice routing.

Appprototype

Overview

This sample app demonstrates Jev's three question types with one demo each. The Sandwich tab asks five narrow yes/no Noul questions about whether something is a sandwich and combines them with plain arithmetic. The Cult tab scores how much of a cult something is with Score questions and adjustable weights. The Chaos tab routes a request with a Choice, together with a Noul and a Score in one request, and only auto-routes when Choice confidence clears a draggable threshold.

Question text, weights and policy live in code, separate from the model. The live demo runs on a free-plan Cloudflare Worker behind PingOne sign-in and a pilot membership gate, with a hard $2 per UTC day spend cap tracked in a SQLite Durable Object, plus per-user and per-IP limits. Deployment runs through a GitHub Actions workflow that typechecks, tests and builds first. It is aimed at developers learning how typed outputs and code-owned policy fit together.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
Yes / noIs it a sandwich? (five narrow yes/no checks, e.g. does it have bread)—
ScoreHow much of a cult is it?—
ChoiceWhere should this chaotic request be routed?—

How it works

  1. Signed-in user submits text to one of three endpoints
  2. Auth, pilot gate, daily spend cap and rate limits checked first
  3. Jev answers the typed questions
  4. Code policy combines answers into a verdict or route

Strengths

  • Clear, minimal illustration of each primitive
  • Strict spend cap and rate limiting for a public demo
  • CI with typecheck, tests and build before deploy

Caveats

  • Live demo requires sign-in and pilot membership
  • Toy examples, not a production use case

Getting started

npx wrangler secret put TYPESAFE_API_KEY --name jev-primitives, then deploy via the GitHub workflow.

Frequently asked questions

What are the three demos?

Sandwich (Noul), Cult (Score) and Chaos (Choice routing with a confidence threshold).

How are costs controlled?

A hard $2 per UTC day budget in a Durable Object plus per-user and per-IP limits.

Can anyone use the live demo?

Only signed-in members of the pilot group when the gate is enabled.
