jev-hooks

Library that composes typed Jev judgments like reactive state in React and backend programs, with automatic batching and reuse.

Hookbeta

Overview

jev-hooks derives typed semantic values from ordinary application state. In React, hooks such as useScore and useChoice ask Jev a question about state, and passing one hook's result into another composes judgements: the runtime discovers dependencies, waits for fresh answers, batches compatible questions and reuses unchanged interpretations, with no names, readiness flags or dependency arrays. The README's example scores economic pressure, then chooses an outlook from that pressure and local exposure.

A server entry supports synchronous programs evaluated by run() on Node.js and Cloudflare Workers. Both entries expose Choice, Noul and Score. References can be shared across components with a semantic scope. An agent skill teaches React plus backend and backend-only integration. It is an independent library, not the official TypeSafe SDK, published on npm with documentation and deployment guides for Next.js, Vercel and Cloudflare.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
ScoreHow much international economic pressure exists?Normal · Elevated · Severe
ChoiceWhat outlook do these conditions imply?calm · watch · strained

How it works

  1. Wrap components in JevProvider
  2. Call useScore, useChoice or useNoul on state
  3. Pass results into other hooks to compose judgements
  4. Runtime batches, caches and refreshes answers

Strengths

  • Composable semantic state
  • Automatic batching and reuse
  • React and server entries

Caveats

  • Independent library
  • Network calls per changed state

Frequently asked questions

What does it do?

Lets you compose Jev judgements like reactive state in React and backends.

Do I manage dependencies?

No, the runtime discovers them when you pass one result into another.

Is it official?

No, it is an independent library.
