Jev Decision Gate
CLI, MCP server and skill for issue triage where Jev predicts issue kind, affected module and whether information is sufficient.
Overview
Jev Decision Gate by BPJ is an MIT-licensed Python tool for repository maintainers that triages GitHub-style issues. It runs a rules baseline, optionally calls Jev with three Choice questions (issue kind, affected module and information sufficiency), and calibrates which suggestions may be accepted automatically versus sent for review. It never edits issues, applies labels, posts comments or closes tickets.
It ships as a CLI, a local MCP server with six tools (local issue batches, task and usage checks, independent calibration, held-out evaluation and accept/review recommendations) and an installable skill for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Version 0.3.1 is an early developer preview with 12 synthetic example cases. The README includes a price comparison of model input rates while noting that total workflow cost depends on actual usage, and states it is not an official TypeSafe product.

- Run the rules baseline, then optionally ask Jev three Choice questions
- Calibrate on held-out cases to set accept thresholds
- Output accept or review recommendations without touching the tracker

- Built-in calibration and held-out evaluation
- Available as CLI, MCP or skill
Caveats
- Early developer preview (0.3.1)
- Only 12 synthetic bundled cases
- Price comparison covers input rates only
