Overview

Jev CSV Workbench (jev-board-lab) is a browser-first interface for turning CSV rows into structured Jev judgments. Users load a CSV, which is parsed in memory and never uploaded or saved, define up to 20 independent questions (Noul, Choice or Score with 2-10 ordered levels), select rows and click Run; each selected row becomes one JSON state sent with the questions.

Runs are limited to 25 rows with at most three concurrent requests. Requests go through a Cloudflare Worker that holds the TypeSafe key server-side, validates and forwards requests, and does not store or log bodies. The static frontend on Netlify fails closed behind an edge-function password gate, and the Worker checks the same signed login cookie before calling Jev. Refreshing clears data and results. CSV import and question editing work locally without a backend, and an optional script converts CSV for local debugging.

What the decision model decides

TypeQuestionAnswers
Yes / noUser-defined yes/no question per rowyes · no
ChoiceUser-defined choice per row—
ScoreUser-defined 2-10 level score per row—

How it works

  1. Load a CSV in the browser (not uploaded)
  2. Define up to 20 questions
  3. Select up to 25 rows and run
  4. Worker forwards each row state to Jev
  5. View results; refresh to clear

Strengths

  • Data stays in the browser except the selected row states
  • Key kept server-side in the Worker
  • Password-gated deployment

Caveats

  • Small batch limits (25 rows per run)
  • Requires deploying Netlify and a Cloudflare Worker for live use

Getting started

Serve the directory statically and open index.html for local editing; deploy the Worker with TYPESAFE_API_KEY for live inference.
