captaincore
Go CLI for managing WordPress sites at scale, with typesafe commands that ask Jev questions and a scan --triage that ranks malware findings.
Overview
CaptainCore is a WordPress management toolkit for hosting professionals, built in Go with Cobra. It manages sites at scale over SSH and WP-CLI: incremental Restic backups, git-based quicksaves of plugins and themes, uptime monitoring, automated updates with diffs, Kinsta and GridPane integrations, and a REST and WebSocket server.
It optionally integrates the TypeSafe decision API. captaincore typesafe exposes typed yes/no, choice and score questions from the command line (for example asking whether some text is urgent), and the malware scanner's --triage flag uses TypeSafe to rank findings for review. The key comes from config or TYPESAFE_API_KEY.
What the decision model decides
| Type | Question | Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Score | How likely is this malware scanner finding to need review?(inferred) | — |
| Yes / no | Is this urgent? (example CLI question) | yes · no |
How it works
- Run the native malware scan across sites
- Add --triage to send findings to TypeSafe
- Review findings in ranked order
- Or ask ad hoc questions with captaincore typesafe ask
Strengths
- Prioritizes scanner noise for humans
- Optional; core tool works without it
- Simple CLI for typed questions
Caveats
- Jev is a small optional part of a large toolkit
